Dwelling and Creative Practice
Aidan Williams is a PhD Researcher and Design Tutor the University of Dundee, School of Architecture. After graduating Dundee’s Master of Architecture degree with distinction in 2009 for an architectural interpretation of the Sublime, Aidan embarked on his current research with the aim of explore the philosophical concept of being-in-the-world. This has led to an in depth study of Heidegger’s philosophy of Being and particularly his concept of Dwelling. This exploration is carried out through critical creative design projects that focus on one’s ineffable and ever changing relation to place.
